Emre Can has reportedly reached agreement over personal terms with Juventus ahead of a Bosman move away from Liverpool next summer.

According to a report in Italian publication Tuttosport, Emre Can is inching closer to sealing his move to Juventus. The German midfielder has refused to sign a contract extension with Liverpool, and has agreed personal terms with the Bianconeri over a Bosman move next summer.

Can has long been regarded as one of the most exciting young midfielders in Europe, and his reputation has only enhanced following his move to Liverpool in the summer of 2014. Over the last two seasons, the player has been a regular, and key member for Jurgen Klopp, although his inconsistencies have been quite frustrating at the same time.

Can has been much improved in the first three months of the season, with a respectable tally of 3 goals and 2 assists in 17 outings to show for his efforts. But, 2017-18 could turn out to be his final campaign at Anfield, with his contract set to run out at the end of the season.

Liverpool have been aiming to tie Can down to a new deal, albeit unsuccessfully so. The player has failed to commit his future to the Reds, whose refusal to insert a realistic buyout clause may cost them dearly. Can has instead been in talks with Juventus over a possible move to the Allianz Stadium next summer.

The Bianconeri have been tailing the 23-year-old for a long time now, having also attempted to sign him in the summer. After failing to secure his services in August, the Italian champions have refused to admit defeat in his pursuit, with club CEO Giuseppe Marotta confirming that they now intend to sign him next summer.

While several other clubs have also been linked with him, it seems that the Germany international has his heart set on the move to Italy. As per the report, Can has agreed personal terms with Juventus, and a possible move is slowly becoming a reality.

Can’s addition would provide Massimiliano Allegri with quite the boost in midfield, despite the addition of Blaise Matuidi in the summer. Meanwhile, Liverpool are resigned to losing the player, despite Klopp’s eagerness to keep hold of him.

With his departure now potentially being a matter of when than if, they could even agree to sell Can in January to recoup some money off him, and it remains to be seen if Juventus indeed secure his services this season itself.
