English Premier League Gameweek 2: Best Betting markets including bets for Tottenham vs Chelsea

The Hard Tackle presents to you the one-stop shop to scour all the best betting markets for the second gameweek of the English Premier League.

Premier League served up a mixed bag of a first weekend. We witnessed a comeback from Arsenal on the opening day, which was followed by disappointing performances from Liverpool and Chelsea. The two Manchester clubs have started strong while Tottenham and Everton silently picked up victories themselves.

Before we delve into the best markets for the upcoming gameweek, we take a look at the result of our suggestions from the earlier gameweek.

Favourable Bets result: 10/14

Underdog Bets result: 5/10

Now let’s take a look at the best markets for the upcoming gameweek.

Swansea City vs Manchester United

Romelu Lukaku has hit the ground running and is expected run Swansea amuck, especially with Paul Clement’s side losing Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton for a club record fee. The United side look good as title contenders early on and this could be another big result for the Red Devils.

Favourable Bets:

1. Manchester United Asian Handicap -1.5 @ 2.025

2. Romelu Lukaku to score anytime @ 1.80

Underdog Bets:

1. Romelu Lukaku to score 2 or more @ 4.50

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool surrendered their lead to draw against Watford and their frail defence against set-pieces were exposed again by Marco Silva & co. Palace, though, looked out of place as they were beaten convincingly by new boys Huddersfield and could find it tough against Liverpool as well.

Unlike all Liverpool encounters, expect this one to be a mild affair, with Palace gunning to keep a clean sheet.

Favourable Bets:

1. Under 2.5 Match Goals @ 2.35

2. Both Teams to Score – NO @ 1.90

Underdog Bets:

1. Full Time Scoreline 0-0 @ 17.00

Stoke vs Arsenal

Arsenal are high on confidence after their win over Leicester while Stoke lost out narrowly to Everton. The Potters, though, will be looking to test a vulnerable-looking Arsenal backline and kickstart their season. Expect challenges to fly in the encounter.

Favourable Bets:

1. Over 3.5 Cards @ 1.61

2. Over 10.5 Corners @ 1.72

3. Arsenal to win @ 1.83

Underdog Bets:

1. Mesut Ozil to score anytime @ 4.33

Tottenham vs Chelsea

A game that could have fear-reaching consequences for either side that comes out on the losing side. Conte is losing his patience with the Chelsea Board while Tottenham  are yet to delve into the transfer market, with less than a fortnight left in the window.

Expect the derby to be a cut-throat affair. But, given the current condition of either squad, it would not be too much of a surprise if the match ended in a draw.

Favourable Bets:

1. Harry Kane to score anytime @ 1.90

2. Over 10.5 Corners @ 1.83

Underdog Bets:

1. Full Time Result – Draw @ 3.60

Miscellaneous Bets

Elsewhere, Wayne Rooney will return to Etihad, not as a Manchester United player but back to his roots at Everton. The player’s goal was the difference against Stoke and expect the former United captain to be at the fore front again as Everton look to show just how strong they are this season with a win against City.

Favourable Bets:

1. Burnley Asian Handicap 0.0 @ 1.760

2. Leicester vs Brighton Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.90

3. Everton Asian Handicap + 1.5 vs Manchester City @ 2.030

Underdog Bets:

1. Watford to win against Bournemouth @ 4.00

2. Southampton vs West Ham – Full Time Result – Draw @ 3.90
