Arsenal and Manchester City played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Sunday evening. The Gunners were heading into the game in their worst ever run of form under Arsene Wenger and desperately needed a victory.
It looked like they would crumble in a big fixture once more when Leroy Sane burst forward and rounded David Ospina to give City the lead early on but Theo Walcott pulled back an equaliser after the ball broke to him in the penalty area rather fortuitously.
Sergio Aguero then put the visitors ahead with a fine finish before Shkodran Mustafi scored a well-taken header from a Mesut Ozil corner to level the scores. It was an entertaining match after that but in the end, the spoils were shared.
Arsenal fans were mostly underwhelmed by the result while several rival fans were happy with a result that saw both Manchester City and Arsenal drop points.

Caps an ideal weekend for LFC; none of Man United, Man City or Arsenal winning.
Spurs and LFC only top 7 teams to win this weekend.

Decent result for us. Both City & Arsenal drop points. 11 pts ahead of Arsenal & 4 pts ahead of City with nine to go. We’ve had worse days.

One tweeter managed to catch Arsene Wenger’s interesting reaction to Arsenal’s concession of Sergio Aguero’s goal, from the moment Mesut Ozil lost the ball to the moment the Argentinian put City ahead. Twitter was filled with reactions to Arsenal throwing away the lead yet again as well.

And, of course, there was plenty of fun made of Arsenal fans after it emerged that there was fighting in the stands. There were still several calls for Arsene Wenger to leave following the match.
