Iker Casillas and Jose Mourinho have not had the best of relationship, and the Chelsea FC manager made that fact clear again by mocking the former Real Madrid goalkeeper after the Blues defeated FC Porto to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League on Wednesday.
As the Portuguese side visited Stamford Bridge, they needed to win the match to secure progression, while chelsea FC needed to get a draw. However, the home team managed to score two past Casillas, as they progressed to the knockout stages, leaving FC Porto in the third Europa League spot.
Chelsea FC had opened the scoring in a bizarre manner in spite of the FC Porto keeper doing well to block a shot by Diego Costa, who was through on goal. The ball rebounded off the Spaniard, hit defender Ivan Maracano, and went into the goal, as a hapless Casillas looked on in misery.

Mourinho has piled on the misery for the Spaniard, as he seemed to have mocked the former Real Madrid man for being unable to help his team get over the line.
“No problem. I’ve done my job and he has done his, and he has done well,” Mourinho was quoted saying to Spanish television MEGA [via Daily Mirror]. a Now Casillas can win the only trophy he hasn’t won – the Europa League.”
Mourinho has no regrets about dropping Casillas
Casillas is an absolute legend at Real Madrid, and no manager had even dared to question his position between the sticks at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, the Special One has his own special set of rules, as he dropped the Spanish custodian in his last season at Real Madrid.
Mourinho then went on to sign Diego Lopez, who became the No. 1 at Real Madrid. Back then, when he was asked whether he has any regrets about dropping Casillas, Mourinho seemed to indicate on the contrary.
“Would I do anything differently if I had the chance to do the past three years over again? I should have brought in Diego Lopez after my first year,” Mourinho had said in his final season at Real Madrid. “We didn’t do enough to sign him. It’s a real shame.”
