Chelsea FC are likely to enter the market for a new striker in the near future, and have reportedly set their sights on Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane
A remarkable exclusive in the Daily Mail suggests that the Stamford Bridge outfit could make a sensational move for the young striker, who has rediscovered his form for Tottenham after a shaky start to the season.
With Diego Costa struggling to regain his 2014/2015 form, and with back-up strikers LoA?c R my and Radamel Falcao failing to impress, Chelsea FC have been widely reported as being on the look-out for a new striker to provide some real competition for Costa.

Blues plot Kane move in the summer
Harry Kane has emerged as a shock target for Chelsea FC, with the Blues reportedly admiring the young Tottenham Hotspur striker from afar. British publication Mail Online claim that the England international could be the target of a ‘full-scale attempt’ by the Blues, with Costa’s position in the team coming under review.
The Spaniard has looked out of form this season, and was even involved in a half-time bust-up with manager Jos Mourinho, which the Portuguese later claimed had been resolved with ‘kisses and cuddles’ in the dressing room. The report claims that the Blues would find it extremely difficult to land the striker given their relationship with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, who refused to sell Luka Modri to Chelsea before the Croatian’s move to Real Madrid.
Chelsea FC will not get their hands on Kane
Regardless of the report in the Mail, Harry Kane will not be a Chelsea FC player in the near future. It could well be true that the Blues are interested in him — several top sides are likely to be — but the fact that the 22-year-old plays for fierce rivals, as well as the fact that Spurs have thus far been firm on their stance of keeping him at all costs, means that Chelsea will likely have to do their shopping elsewhere in the summer.
The timing of the story is also interesting given that Mourinho’s men take on Spurs this Sunday, and it is difficult to put it down as pure coincidence. It could well be a bit of mischief from someone in the Blues’ camp — an attempt to unsettle the youngster ahead of the game.
