FAi??bregas Insists He Maintains A Good Relationship With ‘Winner’ Mourinho Amidst Allegations Of A Revolt

The Spain international has reiterated that allegations of a dressing room revolt against the Chelsea FC manager are not true and that the players trust him as he trusts them

Chelsea FC midfielder Cesc F bregas, who is away with the Spanish national team on international duty with the defending EURO champions scheduled to play England in a friendly on Friday, spoke to Spanish media about the Blues’ predicament, and again emphasized that he maintains a good relationship with manager Jos Mourinho.

.

The Spaniard was earlier accused of being the leader of a dressing room ‘mini-revolt’ against the Portuguese because the players were allegedly unhappy with the team’s style of play. F bregas has since denied the allegation via his social media accounts, and has now reiterated that he has complete faith in Mourinho.

‘Jos Mourinho is a winner’ – F bregas

The former Arsenal FC captain has been one of the most criticized Chelsea FC players this season, but insists he retains faith in his ability as well as in manager Jos Mourinho. Speaking to Spanish radio COPE (via Sky Sports), the midfielder said:

“We’re not doing well in the league at the moment. Last year we lost four games all season and this season we have lost seven already. But Jose Mourinho is a winner; when he loses he goes home sad as I do.

“The results at Chelsea aren’t what we would want and don’t reflect the level of our play. I feel good in myself, but when the results aren’t coming everything is negative and everything looks bad.

“Mourinho trusts us and we trust him. Obviously it is a lie [that Fabregas led a mutiny against Mourinho]. I backed him in a very difficult time.

“My relationship with Mourinho is good, as always, but when things aren’t going well people are always looking for something.”

F bregas’ place in the Chelsea FC starting XI looks uncertain

Although it is almost certain that the Spaniard hasn’t lost his place in the starting XI due to the stories in the media, the form of Ramires and the positive performance of Nemanja Mati against Stoke City means that F bregas could well find himself on the bench more often than he is used to.

The formation against Stoke City allowed Eden Hazard a freer role because of the security of having a more defensive-minded pivot in Ramires and Mati , and the Belgian excelled, putting in his best performance of the season.

Particularly away from home, Mourinho could well use that formation in the future, given the Spain international’s poor defensive contribution and awareness.
