Manchester City travel to White Hart Lane looking to get their Premier League season back on track having lost their last game to West Ham at the Etihad. However, they will have to overcome injuries to 7 players, including star midfielder David Silva. Tottenham have their star midfield man back, with Christian Eriksen expected to start having played in midweek against Arsenal FC in the League Cup.

Manchester City have captain Vincent Kompany back for Saturday’s early kick-off at White Hart Lane, but David Silva is still out having sustained an injury in the warm-up before the West Ham United tie.

Eliaquim Mangala, Ga l Clichy, Wilfried Bony, Fabian Delph, Kelechi Iheanacho and Pablo Zabaleta have all been ruled out, but manager Manuel Pellegrini is confident his squad can cope.

Speaking ahead of the game, he was quoted as saying by the Guardian:

a You must have a strong squad nowadays, and we have enough players to take care of the situation. That came in handy in the Capital One Cup game against Sunderland in the week. We wanted to name a strong squad anyway because we always want to do well in all competitions, but as it turned out it was simply a case of picking all the players who were available.a

Pellegrini also confirmed that Argentine superstar Sergio Aguero is fit for the game against Tottenham.

a Sergio is not carrying an injury or feeling the effects of one,a Pellegrini added. a Maybe he was not 100% in the game against West Ham but he was back to his best against Sunderland.a

.

Meanwhile Spurs have their star midfielder Christian Eriksen back from injury, with the Danish international playing in midweek against Arsenal FC.

However, fellow midfielders Ryan Mason — who has been in great form for Spurs this season — Nabil Bentalab and Mousa Demb l will be out of the game.
