Arsenal FC have completed the signing of Vlad Dragomir from ACS Poli Timisoara star. The 16-year-old is highly rated in Romania and is the captain of U-16 national team.
Vlad Dragomir is a majectic name for a footballer and the youngster has amassed quite a reputation back in Romania. The central midfielder, who can also play on the left, has been in Arsenala s radar for the past one year. The Gunners have scouted Dragomira s performances and have finally made their move to sign him.
The teenager is the captain of the Romanian U-16 national team, and is touted as one of the best talents the nation has produced recently. Both Inter Milan and AS Monaco were also monitoring his progress at the club, but Arsene Wengera s reputation of developing young talents helped the Gunners in securing this deal.
Dragomira s agent, Catalin Sarmasan, has revealed that he contacted the London club regarding a move and since then he has been closely observed by Arsenal.
“I proposed a move to Arsenal a year and a half ago, and they have monitored him closely since then.
“In my opinion, Vlad is one of the most talented players in Europe at the moment.” a Sarmasan said in an interview to Romanian website ProSport.
The Gunners have agreed to pay a compensation of A?70,000 to ACS Poli Timisoara star and the youngster has signed a three-year contract with the club. The 16-year-old became the first Romanian to join Arsenal and this news has created quite a wave back in his homeland.
It will of course be long before the Arsenal fans see him in first team action. Vladimir is expected to join the U-18 side of the club, who have struggled a lot recently. Central midfield has been a cause for worry for the youth team and Vladimira s arrival will strengthen that position. He became the fourth youth team signing for the Gunners, who have already completed deals for Kostas Pileas, Yassin Fortune and Jeff Reine-Adelaide.

Assuming Dragomir deal is done, that’s four signings for the youth team with more possibly to come. Will hopefully lead to better results.
