Jose Mourinho has insisted that Every player has his price and that a deal can be done for any Player after being linked with a move for Raheem Sterling.

The Chelsea boss claims he would always look to sell a player who no longer wanted to be play for his club , but only at the right price.

The Special One claimed that even Eden Hazard, who he regards as the finest player in the Premier League, would be available at some price.

Chelsea are likely to compete with Arsenal and Manchester City if England star Sterling does leave Liverpool this summer.

Sterling, who has two years left on his current agreement, has put contract talks on hold until the end of the season.

And while Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he will not sell the 20-year-old, Sterling is unlikely to re-sign with the Reds unless they qualify for the Champions League.

Mourinho was asked whether he had dealt with an unsettled player he had wanted to keep and The Special One while not specifically commenting on Sterling, was keen to stress that any deal is possible.

Mourinho said: a I dona t like players that dona t want to play for me and my club. My opinion is every player has a price.”

a It doesna t matter which player. Every player has a price. If you ask me now, for example, Eden Hazard. We can speak about him because hea s signed a new contract.”

“Do I want him to leave Chelsea? No. If he wants to leave and doesna t want to work with me, doesna t want to play for Chelsea, does Eden Hazard have a price? I think he has a price.”

“Hea s the best player in the Premier League, but I could talk about a normal player too, every player has a price.”

The Portuguese also said he understood the stance of Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, who said Sterling would not be sold.

a But I also understand the philosophy of managers and clubs who want to keep players at any price, who want just to say, ‘There is no price to sell. The player stays, whatever [happens].’ Ita s also a philosophy I accept.”

a If a player has a contract, the club, the manager and the board have the power to decide what to do, and Ia d never criticise people who think differently.

a If a player knocks on my door tomorrow and says he wants to leave, doesna t want to work with me, Ia d say to my board, a Leta s see what our value for the player is.a “

a I always think that the playera s value is decided by the selling club. Not the agent, the player, the playera s father, not the cousin – the club.a
