Manchester City are reportedly lining up a massive A?32.9million bid for Juventus striker Alvaro Morata and are willing to offload two strikers to fund the deal.
Morata, 22, is currently at Juventus on a complex two-year loan deal from Real Madrid who have an option to buy him back.
Spanish International Morata, scored his first senior goal in the Euro 2016 qualifying victory over Ukraine and is currently a hot prospect who had previously attracted interest from City and Arsenal before joining the Old Lady in the summer.
There is a deal in place that would allow Madrid to buy Morata back for A?21 million but City are hopeful that Madrid wona t take up that deal with Moratta revealing he has no intention of returning to Real Madrid, at least not while Carlo Ancelotti is in charge.
Morata explained his situation at Madrid under Ancelotti in an recent interview,Morata said “I still cannot understand how I went from playing well for Real Madrid to sitting in the stands. I hardly had any kind of relationship with [Ancelotti]. I didn’t demand a starting berth, but certainly I would have expected a different kind of treatment.”
It remains to be seen whether Juventus would let the Spanish international depart having had a great first season in Turin and also with the departure of Carlos Tevez, but a bid of this magnitude would be very difficult to turn down.
The Citizens would however have to sell Edin Dzeko who has been a target for Juventus and Barcelona and Stevan Jovetic, who has attracted interested from Inter and Juve both to help fund a move for Morata.
According to Spanish newspaper AS ,City are planning to let Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic depart the club and replace him with the former Real Madrid youngster.
Dzeko reminded interested teams of his goal-scoring ability last night, lashing three past Andorra for Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The 29-year-old has scored four league goals for the Manchester City champions this season, and has struggled to hold down a starting spot.
Barcelona are eyeing several striker options with Dzeko, Fernando Llorente and Southampton’s Graziano Pelle also on their hit-list.
Stevan Jovetic is another Manchester City player who could be on his way out,the former Fiorentina man has never been able to hit full stride in the Premier League and now looks set to return to the Serie-A , with Roberto Mancini’s Inter and Juventus both interested in signing the Montenegrin Attacker.
