Real Madrid: Toni Kroos Blasts ai???Negativeai??? Spanish Media For Being Too Erratic

One of Real Madrida s top signings this season a Toni Kroos has said that the media in Spain is far too unpredictable and harsh. Kroos believes that the media change direction like the a winda and claims that he is not like that.

While Madrid had been brilliant at the start of the season winning as many as 22 games on the trot in all competitions, their form in 2015 has been a question mark. Apart from defeats to champions Atletico Madrid and fierce rivals Barcelona, the club also suffered at the hands of Schalke in the Champions League, losing 4-3 at the Bernabeu.

The recent string of results has drawn a lot of criticism from not only the fans who waive their customary white handkerchiefs in games, but also from the media who have very quickly written Los Blancos down.

The same media had constantly praised the cluba s performance at the start of the season with some actually saying that this was the best Madrid side in decades.

“Those who know me a bit better know I’m not like a flag that moves with the wind, as they sometimes do in the Spanish media,” he told Sport1.

“When you win a game, everything is good, and when you lose, everything is negative.”

Earlier in the season, Cristiano Ronaldo too announced a media boycott after being frustrated with certain headlines.

Kroos moved to Madrid from Bayern Munich in the summer after winning the World Cup with Germany and also admitted to feeling a bit tired especially after not getting his usual winter break. The 25-year-old was involved in the cluba s FIFA Club World Cup campaign that Madrid won very comfortably in the end.

With Croatian midfielder Luka Modric missing for most of the season, Kroos has had to become the leader in the midfield, holding possession while being equally effective defensively a that seems to have taken a toll on his body.

“I’ve played many games this year and haven’t had a winter break,” he added. “It’s normal that you feel a little tired sometimes but, at the moment, I feel very well and very happy at Real Madrid.”
