Chelsea FC’s robust manager Jose Mourinho, needs no invitation to speak his mind. The dynamic Portuguese was animated in Chelsea FC’s 1-1 draw against Southampton and staunchly defended midfielder Cesc Fabregas, following a alleged ‘diving’ incident, which saw a penalty denied. Mourinho, was quick to voice his disgust and claimed a ‘hidden campaign’ against Chelsea FC, whilst surfacing talks of a scandal against his team.
After a series of controversial decisions, which saw players like Diego Costa, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill and Willian, booked for simulation – with the recent victim being Cesc Fabregas – Jose Mourinho, has called for video technology, to assist referee’s in controversial decision. Mourinho, asserted that football is a sport which can be easily improvised and the Portuguese identifies video technology, as an innovation which is bound to minimize the ‘negative’ part of the game.
“In football we are always trying to change the bad things and the diver punishment is something unbelievable, you have a penalty and you probably win the game ( referring to the incident against Southampton), but instead you don’t get the penalty you get a yellow card.’ said Mourinho.
Chelsea FC’s impressive campaign this season has been highlighted with controversy, which saw former Manchester United player Gary Neville, brand Mourinho’s comments as ‘a seed’. Still, Mourinho is unfazed by these allegations and drew arms to target referee Anthony Taylor.

Anthony Taylor, apologized for his misgivings after the Southampton match. The blunder referee was quick to assess his mistake, and ask Mourinho of forgiveness. Still Mourinho, like his ardent self, blamed Taylor for the decision and said that he should be ashamed of his mistake.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC cling to their perch at the top of the Premier League, thanks to Burnley who held Manchester City to a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Satdium.
Although Mourinho, would have loved the opportunity to go six points clear of second placed Man City, he would possibly be in an joyous mood – given that Man City could have shortened the gap to just one point.
