Liverpool FC are reportedly interested in signing Mario Balotelli, who was previously linked with Arsenal FC, after Brendan Rodgers expressed his admiration for the Italian.
AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli has drawn interest from Liverpool according to reports and Brendan Rodgers has showered a lot of praise for the former Manchester City striker, who was also linked with a move to Arsenal this summer.
Mario Balotelliai??i??s future has come under a lot of speculation this summer and the Italian international has been linked with a move to Arsenal, but AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani and Arsene Wenger have both rubbished these reports recently.
The 23-year-old joined AC Milan in 2013, after spending nearly three years at Manchester City. The Italian international has scored 30 goals in 54 appearances, in all competitions, since his arrival. Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is reportedly keen on signing the striker after failing to land Loic Remy earlier this summer.
Liverpool are in the market for a new striker following the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona. The Merseyside club were close to landing Loic Remy, but the deal failed to materialize at the last moment and the Reds have turned their attention towards Balotelli.
Rodgers has expressed his admiration for the former Inter Milan striker and insisted that Balotelli possess all the qualities he desires in a striker.

These comments have further fuelled reports of Liverpoolai??i??s interest in Balotelli. AC Milan are likely to sell the striker if they receive bid A?14million, although they will look to sign a replacement before letting him go. After the departure of Suarez, Balotelli will certainly add a bit of star quality to the Liverpool side, but his attitude on and off the pitch might be a cause for concern for Rodgers.
