Tottenham Hotspur’s a 30 million summer recruit Son Heung-Min hit a hat-trick as South Korea thumped eight past Laos in 2018 World Cup Qualifier.

The 23-year-old forward moved from Bayer Leverkusen to White Hart Lane only last week, becoming the most expensive Asian footballer ever. The previous record for the most expensive transfer of an Asian player was held by Hidetoshi Nakata, who moved from Parma to AS Roma in a a 25 million deal.

Son scored his first goal in the 12th minute, before adding to his tally in the 74th minute. He completed his deserved hat-trick in the 90th minute. Two of Son’s three strikes were brilliant, one bundled in from a narrow angle and the other curled into the bottom corner from near the edge of the box.

. Here are the highlights from the demolition of Laos by South Korea.
