Liverpool FC legend Steven Gerrard talks about his infamous ‘slip’, his relationship with Jose Mourinho and the time when he was close to signing for La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The 35-year-old is currently plying his trade in the MLS with LA Galaxy and has given a heartfelt interview to BT Sport as part of a promotional event for his controversial new book, My Story.
The interview starts with Gerrard discussing the infamous ‘slip’ against Chelsea FC, which all but ended Liverpool FC’s chances of a first Premier League title in the 2013-14 campaign. The former English international believes that all footballer’s experience ‘cruel moments’ on the pitch, but as his came mostly towards the end of his time with Liverpool FC, they are still fresh in people’s memory.
Gerrard also revealed the pain from his last game for Liverpool FC, when the Anfield club were thrashed 6-1 by Stoke City at the Britannia stadium. The 35-year-old also talked about his relationship with Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho and revealed that the Portuguese had tried to sign him thrice while at different clubs. Gerrard also said that he was in talks with Real Madrid over a potential switch, but insisted that the move was not as close as the one when he was about to sign for Chelsea FC.
