Former Liverpool FC legends Jamie Carragher and Graeme Souness were seen discussing the sacking of Brendan Rodgers following Arsenal FC’s thrashing of Manchester United.
During the post match show, the duo along with Thierry Henry were seen discussing the match when the news from Anfield broke out. Souness expressed his shock at the decision, while Carragher tore into Fenway Sports Group for their pathetic decision making since taking over Liverpool FC.
Carragher questioned a lot of decisions made by FSG during their time and especially giving Rodgers so little time to overturn Liverpool FC’s fortune, having spent excessively in the summer transfer window. The legendary defender went a step further and compared his former side to Tottenham Hotspur, insisting that Liverpool FC only feel that they are a big club, but in reality the real big clubs they don’t fear the Anfield side.
Souness was grieved to see his side transform into a selling club and rued the management’s decision to buy potential rather than the finished article. The former midfielder also questioned FSG’s decision to appoint Brendan Rodgers in the first place.
