Liverpool FC finally ended their six game win-less streak when they beat Aston Villa 3-2 at the weekend. Daniel Sturridge’s brilliant double ensured that Liverpool FC had the quality up-front that they needed to beat Villa.
Sturridge’s injury, along with the sale for Luis Suarez, was considered to be the primary reason for the poor 2014-15 for Liverpool FC.
The forward’s double at the weekend showed the kind of quality finishing he brings to the side.
Analyzing Liverpool’s game on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Carragher was full of praise for the Liverpool FC forward.
The Reds legend went on to claim that he was only behind Sergio Aguero as the second best forward in the league, ahead of the likes of Diego Costa, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane.
