[Video] Hazard misses penalty for Belgium as Chelsea FC star’s poor form continues

Chelsea FC superstar Eden Hazard missed a penalty for Belgium in the 4-1 win over Andorra that sealed the Red Devils’ qualification for the 2016 Euros in France next summer.

With Vincent Kompany missing the game against Andorra, Eden Hazard was given the captain’s armband for Saturday’s game.

The Chelsea FC star got on the scoresheet in the second-half from the penalty spot to make it 3-1, but failed to convert his second spot-kick with the score at 4-1.

Although it made no difference to the scoreline, it was reflective of the Belgian’s lack of confidence — this being the second penalty he has missed for club and country this season.

Hazard earlier skied a penalty against Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea FC, but remains the penalty taker for the club after being backed by Mourinho. The attacker’s first penalty against Andorra was also far from convincing, with the keeper failing to make any move at all to save a penalty that was very close to his left.

With Belgium having already sealed qualification, a win against Israel on Tuesday would see them qualify as group winners, and Eden Hazard will be hoping to make an impression in that game before returning to England and reporting for club duty ahead of the weekend game against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Here is the 24-year-old’s tame effort against Andorra.
