Former Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan star David Beckham has tipped his former Italian side to win this season’s Champions League, a competition that they are not even participating in.
The footballing icon was in Dubai for the opening of an Adidas superstore and following the inauguration, was seen answering a couple of questions.
However, the legendary midfielder, it seems, doesn’t follow football as much these days as he hailed Wayne Rooney’s performance so far this season, when the Manchester United striker has failed to score in the league so far.
When asked to name the favourites to win this season’s Champions League, Beckham named three of his former teams– Manchester United, PSG and AC Milan. As surprising as it may seem, Beckham was seemingly unaware that the Milan outfit are not participating in this year’s Champions League courtesy of a 10th placed finish last term.
