Chelsea FC loanee Nathaniel Chalobah has found opportunities at Napoli hard to come by, but his goal against Legia Warsaw in the UEFA Europa League might just improve his chances of getting more minutes on the pitch
The England U21 international got a rare start for Napoli on Thursday in the UEFA Europa League against Legia Warsaw, and made the most of his opportunity, scoring an incredible goal to set the ball rolling for the home side.
The Chelsea FC FA Youth Cup winning captain received the ball at the edge of the box, after which he coolly nutmegged the Legia Warsaw defender that came out to challenge him, before firing an unstoppable shot into the back of the net to give Napoli the lead.
The goal is a timely reminder of the quality he possesses and the Blues could think about recalling him in January and loaning him out to a club for which he can get more regular minutes on the pitch.
Here is a video of Chalobah’s sublime goal.
