The England U19s romped to a 5-1 victory over Japan in Manchester on Sunday, and attackers Tammy Abraham (Chelsea FC) and Patrick Roberts (Manchester City) chose an interesting way to decide the penalty taker during the game

 

Tottenham Hotspur’s Josh Onomah gave England an early lead at the Manchester City Academy Stadium on Sunday, following which England were given an opportunity to double their lead from the penalty spot.

Chelsea FC academy striker Tammy Abraham and new Manchester City recruit Patrick Roberts were both keen on taking the spot-kick, but it was the Blues’ front-man that got his way, thanks to a an impromptu game of a rock-paper-scissors. Unfortunately for Abraham, his penalty was saved.

But it was the striker who had the last laugh, setting up Roberts for the Three Lions’ second, before scoring two goals himself.
