Twitter Reacts To Silva, Morata Injuries In Spanish Euro Qualifying Win Over Luxembourg

Spain qualified for the Euro 2016 after easily beating Luxembourg 4-0 at the Estadio Nuevo Municipal Las Gaunas.

Two goals apiece from Santi Cazorla and Paco Alcacer gave the Spaniards a comfortable win over one of the minnows of European football.

However, the win over Luxembourg came at a cost as Manchester City’s midfield maestro David Silva and Juventus hitman Alvaro Morata suffered serious injuries during the match.

Silva was replaced after 10 mins in the first half by Juan Mata after twisting his ankle.

Morata had to be stretchered off 20 mins later after suffering heavy bruises to his fibula and was eventually replaced by Valencia youngster Paco Alcacer.

Updating the media on the condition of his players, Del Bosque said, “The worst part of the game was the two injuries”.

“They were two unfortunate clashes, but until we have the medical reports we don’t know how serious they are,” he added.

Here is how twitter reacted to the twin injuries suffered by the Spanish players
