Sergio Aguero scored five goals in twenty minutes as Manchester City came from a goal down to run riot against a fragile Newcastle United side, who remain win-less this season in the Premier League.
The Citizens reached top of the league having surrendered the pinnacle to Manchester United last week, following back to back defeats in the league. The Citizens conceded early as Aleksandar Mitrovic headed home in the 18th minute and the Magpies could have doubled the lead if not for the wastefulness of their players, who squandered a series of opportunities.
Sergio Aguero equalized just before the half-time after some neat play by David Silva. The Argentine started the second half in the way he finished the first, scoring at will and completed his hat-trick in 9 minutes. Kevin de Bruyne then scored an absolute beauty, before Sergio Aguero completed his manita in 20 minutes.
Manchester City looked like they could score with every opportunity, but Aguero was withdrawn in the 65th minute and the game slowed down a bit after it.
Football fans took to Twitter to praise the Argentine on his incredible goal-scoring feat. Here are some of the best tweets from the game
Very happy about the five goals and the victory. Thank you all for the encouragement and support. C’mon, City!

Is it exceptional that Aguero scored five goals today for Man City? Yes but, I must say, Sanogo once scored six in training.

Thoughts with those that didn’t captain Aguero today, or worse still….those that don’t even own him. #Manita pic.twitter.com/DNcvIPQsV5
