Raheem Sterling scored a first half hat-trick to guide Manchester City to a 5-1 win over Bournemouth. Playing alongside Wilfried Bony, the former Liverpool player was rampant in the first half as he completed his hat-trick in 37 minutes.
While Manchester City cruised to a comfortable win, his former club turned over a new leaf as Jurgen Klopp managed his first game since taking over the reins from Brendan Rodgers. However, the charismatic German manager failed to inspire Liverpool as they were held to a 0-0 draw at White Hart Lane.
With Sergio Aguero and David Silva both out with injuries, Raheem Sterling put forth an excellent display in order to keep Manchester City on top of the table ahead of a series of tricky fixtures. As reported by the club website, the Englishman said that his performance was his best one in a blue shirt since completing the transfer earlier this summer.
a That was my best game so far for City — I had chances and I finished them so I’m happy.”
Here are some reactions to Raheem Sterlinga s hat-trick as Manchester City retain their position on top of the Premier League table.
Remember when people wanted Sterling sold cause we had Ibe! Sterling will win titles with City. Ibe will win corners with Liverpool.

“Oh, Sterling won’t do well at City.” “Oh, Sterling peaked at Liverpool.” “Oh, blimey. Sterling just scored a hattrick for City.” a Divyang Hong (@divyanghong) October 17, 2015
.
And now Sterling has a hattrick. What a player & i would have loved to have seen him stay if Klopp came earlier. But we move on.

Sterling had a choice to make. Either stay at Liverpool and play in a boring draw or go to City and be banging hattricks. Good lad. a Uncle Dave (@DavidAttaka) October 17, 2015
Pleased to see Raheem Sterling do well at City. Shame Jurgen Klopp couldn’t benefit from his pace and ability to stretch defences at #LFC.
