Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk has revealed that the midfielder loves Manchester City is happy at the club after reports emerged that the Ivorian could possibly move to Inter Milan who are under Roberto Mancini.
Mancini has made no secret of the fact that he would love to have Toure at Inter in the future.
Seluk told Sunday Mirror Sport, a Yaya loves Manchester City and, despite what is sometimes said, he is happy at the club.
a In fact, he would like to stay for life. He would love nothing better than to finish his playing career with City and then work for the club after that.
a Thata s why I want City to give Yaya a new contract, to show him that they want him to be part of the future.
a It is not about money. It is about keeping Yaya at the club until his playing days are over and showing the cluba s best player that he is respected and loved.
Seluk also said that Toure could take up a sporting director’s role once he stops playing, a When he stops playing, then Yaya could have an executive role, perhaps as sporting director.a
Mancini signed Toure for City in 2010 from Barcelona for a fee of A?24m and he has gone on to be a key player for them since then. Seluk went on to add that any manager would want a player like Toure at their club. a I am sure that Mancini would love Yaya at Inter, but every manager in the world would want to work with him. Mourinho would love him at Chelsea and Ancelotti would love him at Real Madrid.
a But I dona t think Yaya will be leaving City. He is their most important player a as their results when he as at the African Cup of Nations proved.
a City have some great players. But Aguero scores goals because of Yaya and Silva plays well when he has Yaya. He organises the entire team and gives them control of games.
a Even if Pellegrini wanted to sell Yaya, the Sheikh and Khaldoon (Al Mubarak, Citya s chairman) would not allow it.
a Barcelona have Messi and Madrid have Ronaldo. Manchester City have Yaya Tour .a
Earlier in the month, Mancini had jokingly asked his director to sign Toure, a Yaya Toure? Piero Ausilio [Intera s sporting director] a put your hand in your pocket!
a I had Yaya at Manchester City and I think he is one of the best players in the world.”
Manchester City have missed Toure in the last few weeks, but his return in the coming days will be crucial in what is a crunch month for the team.
