Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Marseille forward Andre Ayew and are in talks with the agent of Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco.

Ghana international Andre Ayew has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent week with Arsenal and Liverpool believed to be interested. However, According to reports in France, Tottenham are in pole position to grab the striker.

Andre Ayew is out of contract this season and negotiations have been going on for a while over a deal for the Ghana international, and are now at a very advanced stage. It is believed that Tottenham are keen on signing the forward in January itself, but despite their best efforts, Ayew wouldna t make a move until the end of the season. With Harry Kane, Soldado and Adebayor already present, Tottenham are happy to wait till the end of the season to sign the striker for free.

The 25-year old has scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists in 14 league appearances for Marseille and is currently serving international duty for Ghana and the African Cup of Nations. Ayew made his professional debut for Marseille in 2007 and spent two seasons on loan at Lorient and Arles Avignon.

On the other hand, Tottenham are also believed to be interested in signing Juventus outcast Sebastian Giovinco, whose contract also expires at the end of the season.

Arsenal were linked with a move for the Italian striker, but now reports suggest a switch to Tottenham is on the cards, with contact being made with Giovincoa s agent this week over a deal. The 27-year old could sign a pre-contract agreement with Spurs to join in the summer, but it seems like Tottenham want him to join now.

The 27-year old forward, signed for Juventus in 2008 and after playing in Turin for two seasons, Giovinco spent the 2010-11 and 2011-12 season with Parma. Giovinco has made only 6 league appearances for Juventus so far this season, 4 of which came from the bench and is yet to score his first goal of the season.

With Tevez, Llorente and Morata ahead of the Italian in the pecking order, a move to Tottenham makes sense for the forward.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is planning a total make-over of the squad. Soldado and Adebayor may be close to leaving the club as both of them havena t impressed this term. Pochettino might be keen on signing either Ayew or Giovinco in the summer to partner the rising star Harry Kane.
