Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has gone on record to reiterate his commitment to the club amidst Real Madrid links.

The Argentinian has said that he wants to spend many years at the Premier League side

Aguero joined City from Atletico Madrid four years ago for A?38m and has been linked with a move back to Spain from time to time.

.

Recently, he was reported to be Florentino Perez’s prime target for the summer as Real Madrid want to get back among silverware after ending up with nothing this season.

But Aguero has insisted he wants to stay at the Manchester club and has his eyes set on the Ballon da Or title which he believes, he can win with Manchester City.

The truth is, yes, Ia m very happy,a said Aguero, who is on duty with Argentina at the moment.

‘Ia m enjoying these four years that Ia ve had at City and there are still many more years to come. Ia m very happy.

a Every year City try to improve the team, and while I dona t know how it will be next season, obviously the club always wants us to win titles.

a City are prepared to win titles every year. Obviously the Champions League is a great competition and I think that City are doing everything to win it.a

a The Premier League has this vision where [they want] everybody in the world to watch it so I have plenty of chances to at least be nominated for the Balon da Or,’ added the 27 year-old

a I think for any player ita s important. Playing in the Premier League obviously I have a lot of opportunities.

a The truth is that I would be very happy with the Ballon da Or. I had a great year. I missed some games but the season has been very good, no?a

Aguero did indeed enjoy a terrific personal season for City, where despite missing on a chunk of games, he ended the season as its top scorer with 32 goals.

This must come as a blow to Real Madrid, if they were indeed interested in the player. Real Madrid do need to bring in reinforcements for next season as Barcelona look extremely competent at the moment and the Madrid side can’t afford another season without any silverware. It will be interesting to see where Los Blancos end up spending their cash.
