French striker LoA?c R my insists he will cause Chelsea FC manager Jos Mourinho no trouble even if he faces time on the bench, claiming that he has the mentality of a true professional
The Frenchman was linked with a move away from Chelsea FC this summer — including to Alan Pardew’s Crystal Palace side — but was retained by manager Jos Mourinho. With Diego Costa being the undisputed first choice for the Blues, and with Radamel Falcao being signed on loan from AS Monaco, R my has seen his game time further reduced this season.
Despite that, the former Newcastle United striker has announced his desire to stay professional and not cause his manager or his fellow teammates any problems throughout the course of the season.

The 28-year-old believes that he will get opportunities to get minutes on the pitch given the number of games Chelsea FC will have to play this season. R my also provided some insight into the differences between himself and the other two senior strikers in the Blues’ squad.
The Frenchman is quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying: “Thata s the mentality of being professional. Of course Ia m upset not to be playing but at the same time I work hard in training to be ready.
“I try to fight to play more and for me there is no problem. Ia ll just stay the same and keep working. I know there are many games in the season and Ia m sure I will play more. Some in my situation may be very angry and a troublemaker but I cana t be selfish.
“We are three different strikers. Diego is a really good finisher and is a bit aggressive in a good way. Falcao is technically very good and can keep the ball, Ia m more of a runner. We have different characteristics and thata s really good for the manager.”
Frenchman unlikely to see much time on the pitch this season
R my has only started two games against a decent level of opposition this season — Arsenal FC in the F.A. Community Shield and Newcastle in the Premier League, and has disappointed in both those games. His performance in the latter prompted Mourinho to leave him out altogether for the Blues’ trip to Portugal to face FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League.
Quite simply, the France striker is unlikely to get a run of games in the side this season. If not Diego Costa, it will be Falcao who will keep him out of the team, with the Colombian seemingly preferred by the manager at the moment.
Given Patrick Bamford has seen next to no game time for Crystal Palace and R my’s situation is similar at Chelsea FC, it might have been worthwhile for Chelsea FC to involve the youngster in their first-team squad this season — more so in light of how the season has progressed so far for the Londoners.
R my should perhaps have been moved on, as could well be the case in January if his situation does not improve.
