It appears that Real Madrid have won the battle to sign up Norwaya s 16-year-old footballing prodigy, Martin Odegaard, as the teenage sensation is on his way to the Spanish capital to complete his transfer to Los Blancos today.

Martin Odegaard, who plays for Norwegian side Stromsgodset, has already boarded a private jet to sign the deal with Real Madrid and the formal announcement is expected to be made by the end of the day or tomorrow.

Almost all of Europea s top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Manchester United, FC Barcelona, Man City and Liverpool, are vying for the signature of Martin Odegaard but it now appears that Real Madrid have beaten them all in the chase of this highly talented youngster.

Martin Odegaard, who is considered as the star of the future, is the youngest player to play in a Euro qualifier, and the youngest player to ever represent Norway. Martin Odegaard has also scored 5 goals in 23 starts for his club Stromsgodset this season.

Meanwhile, reports coming from Norway and Spain have also confirmed that Martin Odegaard will complete his move to Real Madrid today. Norwegian newspaper VG has claimed that Martin Odegaard has landed in Madrid a again. The 16 year old Norwegian is close to signing with Real Madrid, according to information obtained by VG. According to information obtained by VG, the objective of the trip is to reach an agreement for a transfer from the Norwegian club Stromsgodset to the Spanish giant.

Some of the reports in England had claimed it last week that Liverpool and Man United are the frontrunners in the chase of Martin Odegaard. But Real Madrid has acted quickly to convince the father and agent of the about the move to the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, it is also being learnt that in spite of his tender age, Martin Odegaard will not be sent back on loan to Stromsgodset as coach Carlo Ancelotti wants him to be the member of first team.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is already convinced with the skill set of Martin Odegaard and he wants to give youngster some playing opportunities in net six months. 16 year old Martin Odegaard plays as an attacking midfielder but he is also comfortable in playing as second striker.
