Javier Hernandez left the pitch with his name being chanted by the Bernabeu crowd after finding the back of the net in the dying moments against Atletico Madrid. Having added two more goals to his tally with brace against Celta Vigo, he has grown into a fan-favourite at the Estadio Bernabeu.

Carlo Ancelotti has also had his share of praise for the 26-year-old as he deemed him undroppable akin to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and that has now ensued in Spanish media suggesting that a permanent deal is in cards involving the Champions League hero.

El Confidential reported yesterday that the Mexican could extend his stay at the Spanish capital, should Real Madrid decide to splash A?20million on the Manchester United loanee. For a player, who has only managed seven starts this season, the reported fee, besides sounding ridiculous, also makes sense given his market value in his homeland of Mexico and the sudden craze for him amongst the Real Madrid faithfuls.

English media suggest that Louis van Gaal has no intent to recall Javier Hernandez next season despite his contract running out only by the end of next campaign.

However, Florentino Perez will have to make his mind in about two daysa time to decide on making the loan deal permanent as other clubs could have their hands on him in the event of the transfer not being executed before Wednesday. Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur are also believed to be keeping tabs on Chicharito.

Despite being only a bit-part player, the Mexican international recently revealed his enthusiasm for playing for who he believes are the best football club in Europe. With all the parties looking to make the transfer come to fruition, as the player himself puts forth, only God knows which shirt he would don next season.
