Raheem Sterling and Liverpool FC are on a collision course as the player has told the club he does not want to join their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia with the club still expecting him to be a part of the tour.

In the latest twist in the Raheem Sterling saga, the player has told Liverpool FC that he does not want to join their pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia having expressed his desire to leave the club with Manchester City preparing a third offer for the player as per reports in the Telegraph.

However, Liverpool Echo is reporting that the club still expects the player to join the pre-season tour with their stance remaining unchanged and until Manchester City match his valuation, Sterling will be expected to honour his commitments with Liverpool FC.

The report says:

Liverpool FC still expect Raheem Sterling to be part of their squad for the pre-season tour – despite the wantaway winger’s desire to miss the trip to the Far East and Australia.

The England international has reiterated to Brendan Rodgers his wish to leave Anfield as he attempts to force through a move to Manchester City.

Sterling has also asked the manager not to be included in the touring party who fly to Thailand on Sunday.

However, Liverpool’s stance remains unchanged and until Man City match their A?50million valuation then the 20-year-old will be expected to honour his commitments.

Manchester City are expected to comeback with an offer closer to Liverpool FCa s 50m GBP valuation of Raheem Sterling after Uefa removed its restrictions on transfers and wages imposed as part of its Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules on the club.

However, three weeks on since their last offer, there has been no further talks between the clubs with City reluctant to go as high as A?50million for the player as per Liverpool Echo.

Sterling, clearly, is trying to force away a move from the Reds by this latest step as the impasse between Manchester City and Liverpool FC continues over agreeing a fee for the player.
