Jose Mourinho is expected to make as many as nine changes, when Chelsea take to the field against Liverpool, for their Capital One Cup semi-final clash. An animated Mourinho emerged out from Chelsea’s defeat to Bradford City in their FA Cup clash and Brendan Rodger’s Liverpool are expected to face Mourinho’s full wrath.
Mourinho, has already promised that Chelsea will be looking to terrorize Liverpool and asserts that it will be ‘night of hurt’ for the Reds. In an attempt to secure atrocities against Liverpool, Mourinho will craft out a wicked scheme and the self proclaimed special one is expected to make nine changes.
Mourinho, is expected to revamp his attack with the inclusion of Diego Costa, who took to bench warming against Bradford City. The prolific striker has been one of few attack forces to reckon with in the Premier League. Powering Costa, will be the holy trinity of Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar. The attacking trio, are expected to start against Liverpool as they were rested in Chelsea’s defeat against Bradford City. A shuffle in the attacking four means that players such as Mohammad Salah and Didier Drogba, will drop to the bench.
The dynamic duo of Nemnaja Matic and Cesc Fabregas, were rested against Bradford City and in attempt to stamp dominance in midfield, Mourinho is expected to deploy the duo, in the pivot position.
Mourinho’s team conceded four goals against Bradford City and if one thing we all know about Mourinho, apart from his arrogant self, is that the special one hates conceding at home, let alone loosing.
The special one, started with youngsters in the likes of Kurt Zouma in Chelsea’s defeat against Bradford. To safeguard this, Mourinho, is expected to field in his best defense. Skipper John Terry is expected to be partnered alongside Gary Cahill, in the heart of defense, whereas Ivanovic and Filipe Luis, are expected to be deployed in the right back and left back domain, respectively.
Another defensive change, which will see Chelsea in safe-hands will be the inclusion of shot-stopper Thiabut Courtois. The Belgian is expected to start against Liverpool, following his rest in Staurday’s shock defeat to Bradford.
Mourinho, was left embarrassed against Bradford City and the special one, will make sure that thing don’t go down hill for him when Chelsea entertain Liverpool.
