Looking the bolster their attacking prowess, Manchester United have now been linked with a bid for Germany and Bayern Munich star forward Thomas Muller.
The 26-year-old has been rumoured to have been looking for a move away from Germany for some time now, and Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal, who had worked with Mueller during his Bayern Munich days, is said to be ready to snap-up the German, according to . Transfermarketweb.
Mueller has already scored 13 Bundesliga and five Chnampions League goals, and the 2015/16 season is not even half way through, forming a great front-three partnership with Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa.
The Bayern-connection drawing Mueller closer
Mueller’s relatively high price of A?75 million might be a deterrent for many of the other clubs, but Manchester United have not shied away from costly signings under manager van Gaal, and given their current attacking woes, the Dutchman might just to for the German in the summer of 2016.
Van Gaal has also spent time at the manager of Bayern Munich, with Mueller playing under him. Will this connection for the Allianz Arena draw the Germany international out of Bavaria and into the Theater of Dreams? We have to wait and see.
Chelsea FC out of race for Mueller
Chelsea FC have also been linked with a bid for the German, but their current form has been absolutely miserable and this could be a huge deterrent. Suffering a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Bournemouth last weekend, it does not look likely that the Blues would qualify for the Champions League this season. This could be one of the main reasons that deters the Bayern Munich star from joining Chelsea FC.
