Manchester United winger Nani is closing in on a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce. He is believed to have been offered a three year contract worth a 4m per season.

Nani has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford in the last three seasons. The 28-year-old joined the English club in 2007 and went on to win four Premier League titles (and a Champions League) under Sir Alex Ferguson. But he fell out of favour under David Moyes and is not part of current manager Louis van Gaala s plans. Numerous injuries and inconsistent performances over the years have prevented the Portuguese winger from fulfilling the hype that surrounded him during the early days of his career.

Nani was signed by his former club Sporting CP at the start of last season and he enjoyed a fairly successful season in Portugal. The winger scored 12 goals in 35 appearances for the club as they went on to win the Portuguese Cup. This was Nania s second winnera s medal in this tournament and he scored in the penalty shootout to help defeat S.C Braga in the final.

Despite his mini revival last season, Nani is unlikely to extend his stay at Old Trafford beyond this summer. His current contract with the club runs till 2018, but the Portuguese international will look to make a move in order to gain regular first team action.

Turkish club Fenerbahce are interested in signing the United winger and have reportedly offered him a three year contract worth over a 4m per season. Turkish-Football claims that Fenerbahce are preparing a a 8m bid for Nani and are confident of sealing the deal. Sporting director Giuliani Terraneo has already held talks with his agent.
