Liverpool FC: Manchester City Set To Sign Raheem Sterling For A?40m

Sterling Heading For The Door At Liverpool

Manchester City are confident of securing a deal for Liverpool FC star Raheem Sterling ahead of Chelsea FC, Manchester United, and Arsenal FC.

Liverpool FC value the winger at 50 million pounds, but, City are increasingly confident they will be able to secure the English wonderkid for a value much lesser than that according to reports in the Telegraph . .

Liverpool had hoped to spark a bidding war for Raheem Sterling, but, with Arsenal FC and Chelsea FC prioritizing other players over the wantaway Liverpool winger, City are sure that they will be able to secure him for lesser price.

Manchester United have also reportedly dropped out of the race for the Liverpool FC player with Liverpool refusing to sell him to their rivals.

Sterling has turned down a new A?100,000-a-week contract. The Liverpool FC winger made it clear that he will not sign a new deal claiming that his decision is based on a desire to win trophies rather than financial gain. His agent Aidy Ward is alleged to have claimed even a a A?900,000-a-weeka offer from Liverpool would not be enough to tempt him into penning a new deal.

Sterling has two years left on his contract and with his value set to drop rapidly in the coming 12 months, Liverpool could cash in on him. Manchester City are believed to be readying a ‘take it, or leave it’ 40 million offer to the Anfield side this week.

Liverpool FC were hoping to sell the youngster outside England, but, both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are reportedly not prepared to go beyond 30 million pound for the player.

Raheem Sterling is certainly moving closer to a move to Manchester City, rather than London where the Liverpool FC player preferred to move to, as Chelsea FC and Arsenal FC increasingly look likely to drop out of the race along with Manchester United.
