Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia is supposedly attracting interest from top clubs across Europe. It has been reported that Arsenal are preparing to bid for the midfielder. Apart from The Gunners, the playera s agent, Jonathan Benbaron, reveals that there is a lot of interest from other top European clubs.
“The player appeals to a lot of clubs around Europe,” Benbaron told FC Internews. “In addition to interest from Inter, there’s also Juventus, Manchester City and Real Madrid. A lot of teams have contacted us, but I can’t reveal how far along the various talks are.
“Will he leave this summer? Everything is possible in football.”
Kondogbia, 22, is a talented defensive midfielder who joined Monaco in 2013 from Sevilla. The Frenchman has won three caps for his country and his impressive performance in the Champions League against Arsenal has shot him to fame. His current contract with the French club has three more years on it but a move away from Monaco might be on the cards this summer.
Real Madrid will be looking into the transfer market to sign a deep-lying playmaker who can provide support to Modric and Kroos. The Spanish giantsa positive start to last seasona s campaign took a massive setback after Modrica s two major injuries. The club will be keen on signing a midfielder of Kondogbiaa s age and abilities and his experience of playing in La Liga will be an added advantage.
