Former Chelsea midfielder Kevin De Bruynea s rise to stardom at Wolfsburg has attracted interest from some of the top European clubs.
Kevin De Bruyne moved from Chelsea to Wolfsburg last year in the January transfer window. Since his move to the German club, the playmaker has made remarkable impact and has been a vital cog in the cluba s development.
The 23-year old has netted 15 goals and provided 25 assists in all competitions this season, attracting interest from top European clubs like Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. The playera s agent also revealed last month that the three clubs have made informal contact expressing their interest in the Belgian.
However, Wolfsburg CEO, Klaus Allofs made it clear that the club has no intentions of selling the star playmaker and he will play for them next year.
“At the moment, I’d call him unsellable,” he told German TV show ‘Doppelpass’ when asked about De Bruyne. “I am 100 per cent convinced he will play for us next year.a
Despite being so confident that the club wona t sell the former Chelsea man, Allofs also hinted that in football nothing can be said as things develop very rapidly.
“However, in football things can develop so rapidly, that you can’t say this now.”
Wolfsburg have had a very successful season and are poised to finish the campaign as runners-up in the league with just one more game left to play.
