Juventus Must Win By A Few Goals Against Borussia Dortmund: Vidal

Borussia Dortmund are struggling badly in Bundesliga this season but Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal thinks the threat of Jurgen Klopp’s men is even greater because of their domestic problems of the past few months.

Three successive wins have just recently lifted Jurgen Klopp managed Borussia Dortmund off the bottom of the table but regardless of their domestic troubles, Arturo Vidal believes that the threat possessed by the BVB is has not been dulled.

Arturo Vidal has asked his Juventus team mates to score as many goals as they can tonight as playing against Borussia Dortmund at their home ground is always very difficult.

a Their fans are very passionate,a Arturo Vidal told Kicker.

a But theya ll also feel that the [Juventus] Stadium can be a fiery venue. Juventus are geared up and ready.

a We want to win the first leg with a clear margin of goals so wea re risking as little as possible in the return leg.a

Juventus are the clear favorites to progress into the quarter finals of UEFA Champions League at the expense of Borussia Dortmund. But, the former boss of Bianconeri, Marcelo Lippi has urged the Juventus players to not to underestimate the threat of Borussia Dortmund.

a BVB [Borussia Dortmund] will demonstrate their undoubted quality, particularly in Europe,a Lippi warned in an interview with German magazine Kicker.

a It was clear that the excellent work of [Jurgen] Klopp and the quality of the team would shine through eventually.

a Juventus cannot afford to subconsciously underestimate Dortmund because of their position in the League.

a However, I do think my ex-team is the favourite. It doesna t matter that ita s a rematch of 1997, because my memories of Dortmund are mostly positive.

a We won there with Juve in the UEFA Cup in 1995, 2-1, and then repeated the feat in the Westfalenstadion the next year, winning 3-1 and then winning the final.

a Of course, I havena t forgotten the final in Bayern Municha s Olympiastadion the year after, a night when everything went wrong.

a Juventus were stronger on paper, but we all know what happened. A really unpleasant memory.a
