Chelsea FC manager Jose Mourinho has once again mocked Arsene Wenger for his poor trophy record in his last 15 years with the North London club.
Jose Mourinho has continued his war of words against Arsenal FC manager Arsene Wenger, appearing to take aim at the Frenchman’s poor trophy haul in a recent interview.
Mourinho and Wenger have been involved in several spats through the years, and most recently the Portuguese had mocked the Frenchman’s win-less record against him before their Community Shield match. However, Arsene Wenger was able to end his nemesis’ 13-match unbeaten streak with the 1-0 win in the Community Shield.
Mourinho and Wenger have been involved in several verbal brawls
The Portuguese was asked about Manchester City’s decision to award manager Manuel Pellegrini with a new contract following a trophy less last season and the Special One responded with a jibe aimed at Arsene Wenger.
As quoted by BBC, Mourinho said: “Why? Some other clubs, they have disappointed for 15 years and the manager is the same.”
Arsene Wenger has failed to win the Premier League since the famous ‘Invincibles’ season of 2003-04. However, the Frenchman brought to an end a 9-year trophy drought by winning back to back FA Cups in 2014 and 2015.

Mourinho also feuded with team doctor Eva Carneiro following his touch-line outburst during last week’s clash against Swansea City. Mourinho was enraged with Carneiro when she entered the field to attend to Eden Hazard in extra-time as the Blues were reduced to 9-men while defending a corner. Thibaut Courtois was earlier sent-off in the game for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity to Bafetimbi Gomis.
