Manchester City are expected to launch a third bid for Liverpool FC winger Raheem Sterling in the region of 45 million pounds that is expected to be reluctantly agreed by the Anfield club.
The Raheem Sterling saga is finally coming to a close as per reports in the Telegraph and Guardian with Manchester City set to beat Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea FC, and Arsenal FC to the Liverpool winger.
The player had made clear his desire to leave the Merseyside giants in recent months citing the reason to join a more competitive team which can help him win trophies regularly.
The Liverpool FC winger had two years remaining to his contract and his value is set to dwindle in the coming twelve months.
Manchester City had two previous bids of 30 million and 40 million pound rejected. They are now expected to comeback with a 45 million pound offer that involves 40 million upfront and 5 million in performance related add ons.
Real Madrid, Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC and Liverpool FC’s hated rivals Manchester United were all interested in the player who scored 7 goals and recorded 8 assists in the 2014-15 Premier League season. But, they were put off by Liverpool FC’s 50 million valuation of the player.
While Manchester City will be short of the demands of Liverpool FC with their 45 million pound offer, it is expected that the club will reluctantly agree to it with City growing increasingly confident of reaching a compromise with Liverpool FC for the winger.
If the deal goes through, Raheem Sterling will not only become the most expensive teenager in football history, but, will also become Manchester City’s second most expensive singing since the club was bank rolled by Abu Dhabi billionaire Sheikh Mansour in 2008.

Their highest purchase was set in 2009 when Carlos Tevez joined in a deal that was initially described as being worth A?25.5m, only for it to emerge it had actually cost the club about A?47m.
THT Verdict
While there is no doubt that Raheem Sterling is a fantastic young player, the price tag put on him represents that of a player who can slot right into a team and start performing. He is still a couple of years away from that.
In their defense, Manchester City are in need of English players, and Liverpool FC are cleverly taking advantage of it knowing fully well that they have the best proven English talent in their ranks.
Also, the fact that football world is littered with examples of great talents failing to live upto their potential, Manchester City are taking a bit of risk, albeit, there is no doubt that player has all the qualities to become one of the best players in the world in the next four or five years.
We do think the saga is finally coming to an end with the Liverpool FC winger priced out from Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal FC, and Chelsea FC. Raheem Sterling could finally wear the blue of Manchester City next season.
