Former Chelsea FC centre-back Alex was full of praise for the new AC Milan manager, as he credits the Rossoneria s good start to the managera s ability to bring a change in attitude.

Alex, who moved to Milan after his contract with French champions PSG expired in 2014, says the Italian giants had lost their way in recent seasons but SiniA?a Mihajlovi has been able to provide the right push to the AC Milan players and the positive start to the 2015-16 season is a result of that.
The 33 year old Brazilan believes that the atmosphere within the dressing room has undergone a major lift under Mihajlovi , after Milan struggled to qualify for European competitions in the last two season.
Alex was quoted saying to the Milan Channel (via FourFourTwo): “We have changed the spirit in the dressing room. Before the games we talk more and we want to play well from the start.
“We have to continue with this desire because the Italian league is always difficult.”
Alex is eager to face struggling Juventus
Milan, who finished 10th in Serie A last season, will make a trip to Turin to face reigning champions Juventus next week, but will be gunning for all three points with the Old Lady struggling to find its form.
“We are prepared and ready for these types of games against a great team. I think we have the players to play well and we will go there to take all three points.”, said Alex, speaking about the fixture.
“Juventus have played together for a long time, [but] this year they have not started well because they have new players. They are a dangerous team, but we are going there to play well. All matches are important, but against Juventus it is especially so.”
Are Milan eyeing a return to Champions League?
AC Milan are one of the biggest clubs in Italy, but despite winning the UEFA Champions League as recently as 2007, they have been struggling in recent seasons. Pundits pointed out that AC Milana s financial incapability to sign star players pushed them further back in the pecking order, as rivals started snapping up big name players while Milan, on the other hand, looked to sign free agents or players on loan and displayed a lack of ambition.
The appointment of SiniA?a Mihajlovi seems to be like a breath of fresh air as Milan look to regain lost glory. The club will hope that the board will finally open up their cheque books to sign the big names, provided they manage to qualify for the financially rewarding UEFA Champions League.
