FC Barcelona superstar Neymar has hit out at the fans, who were heard jeering and whistling at the team during last night’s Champions League encounter against Bayer Leverkusen.
The Blaugrana made a late comeback to win the game after going behind when Leverkusen defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos headed in a Hakan alhanoAYlu corner. The fans at Camp Nou started whistling after FC Barcelona had conceded and Neymar reiterates that the team needs the fans behind them in such difficult times.
Luis Suarez scored a late winner as the Catalan side overcame the Bundesliga outfit to win their first game in this season’s Champions League, having drawn the first match against Roma.

The Champions League holders are without the services of arguably the world’s best player in Lionel Messi, who is sidelined after injuring his left knee ligaments in the weekend clash against Las Palmas.
FC Barcelona has been struggling since the start of the season to get into their stride and the absence of Messi will further hurt them. Club captain Andres Iniesta also picked up a hamstring injury last night and could be sidelined for up to four weeks.
It is difficult when the fans are not with us – Neymar
Speaking after the loss, as quoted by Goal, Neymar said:
“Yes, it is difficult when the fans are not with us.
“I’m very happy for the victory, but we suffered a lot to win the match.
“The important thing was to win, and we did everything to make goals and we won.
“I did my job. We have to know how to play without Messi, and win so he is back with us in good shape.”
