Aleix Vidal of Sevilla has established himself as one of the best right-back of La Liga this season and FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has asked his management to sign him as a successor of outgoing Dani Alves.
Aleix Vidal, 25, has made the position of right side of Sevilla defence his own in nowadays. The Spanish defender has performed extremely well on a regular basis for Unai Emerya s side this season.
Like Dani Alves, Aleix Vidal also likes to help his attackers score goals and he himself has scored many important goals for Sevilla in both, La Liga and Europa League, this season. The young defender is known for his dangerous runs forward and these qualities of him have not gone unnoticed elsewhere.
The current situation of Dani Alves remains very uncertain as his contract is set to expire on 30th of June. FC Barcelona have made an attempt to extend his contract but he has not said a yesa yet.
Considering the situation regarding Dani Alves, FC Barcelona are looking elsewhere to sign his replacement.
FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique likes a versatilea defenders who can help his strikers and hence, he wanted to sign Juan Cuadrado last year. Unai Emerya s Sevilla have impressed everybody with their fine attacking displays this season and they do not want to sale quality player like Aleix Vidal.
But FC Barcelona management believes that a lucrative offer would help them get their man, in January.
Meanwhile, reports coming from Spain have also confirmed the plans of FC Barcelona for Aleix Vidal.
Catalan daily Sport has claimed in its report that FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique believes that Aleix Vidal has what it takes to become a successor of Dani Alves.
