Real Madrid Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane has declared that his club may make a move for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard in the summer and have been a keeping an eyea on the Belgian.
Madrid are famous for making a move for the best players in the Premier League having bought Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo for record transfers in recent years. Club president Florentino Pereza famed galactic policy has seen the likes of David Beckham, Luka Modric, Michael Owen and Ruud van Nistelrooy also join the 10-time European champions in the past.
While Ronaldo continues to perform superbly for Los Blancos, the Portuguese isna t getting any younger. The natural replacement for the 30-year-old seems to be Hazard who has set the Premier League alight this season.
In all, the 24-year-old has scored an impressive 18 goals this campaign and has made 10 assists on top of it. He has also been nominated for the PFA Player of the Year a an award previously won by both Ronaldo and Bale.
An interest from Real Madrid was all but obvious and Zidane seems to agree with that.
“There are players I keep an eye on and who I like a lot, like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, of course. They’re fantastic players, but I like Eden Hazard a lot too,” Zidane told Fifa.com.
“I enjoy everything he does on the pitch. I like the way he carries himself, that decisive streak in him and the fact that he’s improving every year. He can still get better too.
“I think he’s a big reason why Chelsea are on top of the table.”
Zidane, who was himself bought as the a part of the original galacticos, could be named the new Real Madrid manager if current manager Carlo Ancelotti is let go of. These comments from Zidane will most definitely be noted by Hazard who has previously called the Frenchman his a idola .
