Floundering striker Diego Costa has said that he’s confident he’ll soon get back amongst the goals, as he feels like he has hit form again after the midweek win against FC Porto.

.

The Spain international showed a lot of spirit in his performance against the Portuguese side, making darting runs to get on the end of through balls and crosses. Although he was unable to score in that match, Costa feels that he’s back playing the way his club wants him to play and it is only a matter of time before he sees his name on the scoresheet again.

a I have the confidence the goals will return. More than I wasna t scoring, I wasna t playing well either,” Costa was quoted saying to the Daily Mirror. “That was hurting me a lot personally and the manager knew I had to get a lot better as well.

a But I think I put in a better performance on Wednesday – I wasna t one of the best in the team, but I felt I did my individual jobs well,” he said. a I felt strong and physically good and if I keep going like that Ia ll score a lot of goals.a

All well on the Mourinho front?

Costa might have had his difference with manager Jose Mourinho, but it seems as if the 27-year-old has made his peace with the Portuguese now, as he looks to get his scoring boots back on.

Ahead of the crunch-match against surprise table toppers Leicester City, Costa stressed the importance of playing well, which would make everyone happy.

a The manager made things clear, that we have to be more potent, that we have to add imagination, passion, that we have to do things a lot better than wea ve been doing them,” said Costa. a The supporters needed to feel happiness again and the manager needed to feel happiness again because things have not been going well, and the manager feels it worse than us because hea s the boss.a
