‘Devastated’ Chelsea FC To Face More Action From FA After Failing To Turn Up At Post-Match Press Conference

Chelsea FC’s miseries were compounded, as they were banished to the 15th spot, on the Premier League table, courtesy a 2-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United, on Saturday. Although this was the Blues’ fifth loss from 10 matches, in the Premier League campaign, the defeat was not the only thing that is bothering the club, and the people associated by it.

In fact, everything seems to be falling apart, at the Stamford Bridge this season, with manager Jose Mourinho seemingly being the one, who has fallen the most.

After the Hammers took the lead from a Mauro Zarate goal Chelsea FC midfielder Nemanja Matic was sent off for a second booking, and all hell broke lose from that point onwards, as assistant coach Silvino Louro was sent off for arguing with the fourth official.

Mourinho then proceeded to be banished to the stands by the referee, as he continued to argue with him in half time. Defender Gary Cahill did score an equaliser, but West Ham forward Andy Carroll put the Hammers back in front with another goal.

Asked about the sequence of events, West Ham manager Slaven Bilic had spoken to Mourinho over the phone, after the match.

“I feel for him. Decisions from his point of view have gone against him,” Bilic said. “I would moan if it was against us. But they are not mistakes; they are matters of opinion.”

Chelsea had also had a goal by midfielder Cesc Fabregas, turned down by the referee, for offside, something that had also added to the anger and dismay of the Chelsea FC players and fans.

Cahill, who scored the maiden goal for the Blues, said in the post-match presentation, a (The dressing room atmosphere) is not great, like youa d imagine when you lose games,a admitted Gary Cahill. a Last season we werena t used to it. The lads are devastated.

a Youa re left scratching your head sometimes. In the first half the F bregas goal could have been given and we had the goal that was nearly over the line. That sums up the way wea re going. Wea ve not had the rub of the green but wea re not feeling sorry for ourselves. We have to work hard to turn this round.a

Interestingly however, Chelsea FC find themselves in even more trouble, as nobody from the club showed-up at the post match press conference.

.

Chelsea FC and Mourinho have already been embroiled in controversy over the latter’s comments on the referee, earlier this month, as the Portuguese was slapped with a A?50,000-fine and one-match stadium suspension sentence. Saturday’s developments, during the West London side’s loss to the Hammers certainly does not help Mourinho’s case with the FA one bit.
