Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has completed his move to Chelsea FC on a season-long loan deal from AS Monaco as Mario Pasalic goes the other way.
Chelsea have finally made the official announcement of the deal, that has been in the news throughout the summer. This will be Falcaoa s second loan spell in England after spending last season at Manchester United.

Falcao scored just four goals in 29 appearances last season, as he struggled to regain form after his injury. Lack of goals meant that United passed on the opportunity to sign him permanently for A?43.2m. Chelsea however were in need of new striker following the departure of Didier Drogba and Jose Mourinho is willing to take a gamble on the Colombian international.
The Portuguese manager believes that he can get the best out of Falcao and help him regain his confidence in front of the goal. The fact that the duo shares the same agent also helped in settling this deal. Falcao has expressed his delighted at having secured this move and his want to contribute in the cluba s success next season.
“I am very happy to be joining Chelsea and can’t wait to start training and help with our aim of retaining the league title and being successful in Europe.” a Falcao told the club’s website.
20-year-old midfielder Mario Pasalic has also completed his move to Monaco, on loan, from Chelsea.

Falcao, who struggled in the Copa America as well, has received a lot of criticism from the fans on social media. A lot of Chelsea fans expressed their frustration at having the Colombian at Stamford Bridge next season. The former Atletico Madrid striker received mixed reactions on twitter after the news was made official.
