Chelsea FC boss blasts Aston Villa manager for declaring interest in LoA?c RAi??my

Chelsea FC interim manager Guus Hiddink has expressed his displeasure at Aston Villa manager R mi Garde for speaking publicly about the club’s interest in Blues’ striker LoA?c R my

.

The Frenchman has found game time hard to come by at Chelsea FC this season, with Diego Costa the preferred first choice under Jos Mourinho as well as Dutchman Guus Hiddink. Consequently, there has been speculation about a possible move away from Stamford Bridge for the former Queens Park Rangers and Newcastle United striker, with Aston Villa manager R mi Garde publicly declaring interest in his compatriot.

The comments appear to have upset Hiddink, who blasted the Villa manager for this perceived indiscretion, implying that the Frenchman lacked respect. The Blues’ boss is quoted by ESPN FC as saying: “From our point of view, I don’t think we or the management will go into a similar situation.

“You have to respect where the players are. If you are interested, talk first to the people with whom they are contracted. You cannot go into details.

“The player has signed a contract here and must be fit for us. He’s having a difficult time regarding his injuries. He has to prove first of all that he’s a good Chelsea player. He has had a calf problem for several days.”

Garde knows the Chelsea FC striker from their time together at Lyon, when the Villa boss was assistant to former Liverpool FC manager G rard Houllier, and R my was taking his first steps in senior football.

Not a surprise if R my leaves in January

The France international has had a half-season to forget in 2015-2016, playing a total of just 144 minutes of Premier League football spread out over 8 appearances. R my’s starts have largely been limited to the Capital One Cup and the more straight-forward Champions League fixtures, and as such, it will not be a surprise if the 28-year-old pushes for a move away from Stamford Bridge.

Given Karim Benzema’s suspension from the French national team and his own quality and experience, a strong second half of the season could see him in contention for a spot in Didier Deschamps’ squad for EURO 2016. Chelsea FC, for their part, could bring in Patrick Bamford and give the youngster opportunities in a season from which there is nothing left to salvage as far as the league is concerned.
