Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho condemned star winger Eden Hazard to the bench as his side beat Aston Villa 2-0 in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday.
Chelsea easily overcame an error-strewn Aston Villa side at Stamford Bridge to register only their third win of the season.
Spanish International striker Diego Costa marked his return to the starting lineup with a goal and an assist.
Eden Hazard, who scored twice for Belgium during the International break, was left on the bench by Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager later came out and explained his decision to drop Hazard from the Chelsea starting lineup in an astonishing tirade.
Mourinho slammed last year’s PFA player of the year for his poor work rate during matches and threatened to continue doing so until his “tactical discipline” improved.
As expected, Chelsea fans used twitter to vent out their frustration against Mourinho’s decision to axe their favorite player.

I don’t remember anytime in which Hazard was better than Neymar, Suarez or Bale. a francis (@stayne_) October 18, 2015
Eden Hazard being dropped by Mourinho is reminiscent of what he did to Juan Mata and De Bruyne. Wouldn’t be surprised if Eden leaved.

I’ve no idea how a professional footballer can gain so much weight within such a sort space of time. Eden Hazard looks so much out of shape a Foreverblue (@ForeverBlue_07) October 18, 2015
Drops, our LW, Eden Hazard because we’re conceding a lot of goals down our RIGHT. Plays Brana though.

The Mourinho Out Club stands in solidarity with @hazardeden10 + his oppression under Mourinho. We believe he is an attacker, not a defender! a Mourinho Out Club (@MourinhoOutClub) October 18, 2015
@hazardeden10 is a great player.. No doubts about it.. But if the manager decides to leave him on the bench, that’s it..

Eden Hazard is better than Ronaldo ? Jose Mourinho was high on drugs at that point of time, similar to the Chelsea fans that agree with it. a Keshav Chandiramani (@C_Keshav) October 18, 2015
I’d be shocked if #EdenHazard doesn’t seek a transfer…poor man management skills by #mourhino. Keep him off TV #embarrassing @ChelseaFC
