One of Stamford Bridge’s leading lights, John Terry has revealed ambitions about becoming a manager. The Chelsea captain is in the process of earning his coaching badges and led the Chelsea U-15 training session recently. Cheslea’s John Terry who made his 648th appearance in the 2-0 win over Newcastle United, took the youngsters to an indoor training session at Chelsea’s training base, Cobham. The Chelsea captain, also announced this on his Instagram profile and captioned it “Putting in the hours for my coaching badges this morning with the U15s. Still a long way to go but enjoying the process. I’m defo a shirt and tie manager”.

The Chelsea skipper has been in inspired form this season and has perhaps been a standout performer for Chelsea. Terry, has been resolute in his defensive duties so far and forms a formidable defensive partnership with Gary Cahill. The defensive pairing, who ply their trade at the heart of Chelsea’s defense are arguably the best center back pairing in the league. Meanwhile, Terry has been a consistent goal scoring threat also. The Chelsea captain, has already scored five goals in all competitions, this season.

When it comes to guiding young players, few can better Terry’s abilities. The Chelsea skipper has been accredited for helping young emerging players to settle down and help them with the stress of Premier League fixtures. Kurt Zouma, one of Chelsea’s starlet, recently told Chelsea’s official website, that Terry has helped him evolve.

‘Terry helps me a lot when the striker goes behind me or when the striker drops back and I have to follow. Cahill is the same. Tactically, technically and physically I have learned a lot.’, said Zouma.

However, the Chelsea captain has robbed the Stamford Bridge faithful of witnessing a tracksuit manager, by asserting that he is more of a ‘shirt and tie’ gaffer.

John Terry is currently on a one year extension deal. The Blues’ captain is expected to sign another one year extension before the end of this campaign.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were given a scare by Newcastle United, last time around. After a fluttery start to the first half, by Chelsea, the Blues rallied forces and delivered an inspirational performances to see the job done. With Manchester City dropping points against Everton, Chelsea lead the Manchester side by two points and reside at the top of the Premier League table.
